Ice Ice baby....

He he felt the first drops of ice here in Halifax... forecast for snow tomorrow and I am so excited was'nt supposed to get out but just had to, just to see what it was like... I was'nt out for long was bundled up so didnt feel too cold but it was so much fun... :-)

Hmm according to the forecast it is supposed to get cold over night and snow too so looking forwared to the whole place looking white...

Tomorrow morning is going to be a surprise..... scheduled to go to church at 9:00 .... dont know what its going to be like....

Aftermath...

the storm's long gone but I have to say that that night was infact the scariest night of my life!!!! the sounds of the wind roaring against the window and the feeling of it breaking throught the wall and falling in on us was just very scary. I was so scared to see what it was like through the curtains but when I did there was nothing so rain, you cant see the wind but you can hear it - more reason to fear.

the next morning was fine - the sun was out like it was all some kind of joke nature was playing... :-).

We'ev moved on with the thought that hmmmm.... we survivied... it could've been worse... :-)

....its life!!!

3:25pm in Halifax

Well the storm is picking up.. right now looks like a normal rainy day in halifax but not for long. Visibility is decreasing and precipitation increasing..

Went to the store about an hour back to get some supplies in case of emergency and the wind hit us hard as we walked passed an empty space, that was totally unexpected... Like I said hoping for best prepared for the worst!!!!

Had the windows sealed this morning so atleast won't hear so much of the wind hissing through the corners and it is surprisingly more warm inside.... finally the heating is working, guess it was just the tiny air holes all this time....

Ooookkkay heard some water leaking.. hmmm some water has managed to get in already and its not even raining hard enough!!!!......

P.S Pray for Western Nova Scotia...

Live from Haifax

Finally my first blog entry from Halifax,

How has it been so far??? - Well life's fine, very different from any place I've been in the world. Feels like a vacation sometimes with all the white people around only NOT.

Classes are going on fine - got an easy class schedule which works out to 3 days a week so like I tell everyone its just about a long weekend all the time which is good and bad.

In the middle of trying to study right now..but... :( not happening...

It seems there is going to be this hurricane tomorrow - Hurricane Noel (noel: defined as a shout of Joy) definitely not :-)

The last time we had heavy rains, say 2 weeks ago ( not a hurricane ) we had water seep the corners of our windows in the room... this time its a hurricane and frankly speaking I don't know what to expect!!!!.
